Bill Would Establish Committee to Focus on Opioids in Workplace

A bill has been introduced in Congress that would establish a committee to recommend actions that the Department of Labor could take to address opioid abuse in the workplace. H.R. 5892 was introduced on May 21 by Reps. Jason Lewis, R-Minnesota, and Matt Cartwright, D-Pennsylvania. The bill was referred to the House Committee on Education and the Workforce. The Advisory Committee would consist of 19 members appointed by the labor secretary.
