Sentencing Continues in 'Oxy Alley' Probe

U.S. Attorney Wilfredo A. Ferrer announced on Friday two more defendants have been sentenced in the ongoing "Oxy Alley" investigation of South Florida pill mills.Ferrer said in a press release 26 defendants in all have been sentenced in the investigation of pain clinics in Florida's Broward and Palm Beach counties. Grand jury indictments in the case were unsealed last Aug. 23.The indictment alleged that four pain clinics operated by Christopher George and Jeffrey George, twin brothers, illegally distributed 20 million oxycodone pills between 2008 and early 2010.
