The Oregon Workers’ Compensation Board will discuss issues relating to attorney fees during a meeting Tuesday.
WCB members will review a proposal that would require consideration of a claimants’ attorney’s contingent hourly rate when determining what constitutes a reasonable fee.
Another proposed rule would require reasonable fees to be calculated with a “contingency multiplier” to account for cases where the lawyer does not win and is not entitled to payment.
