Standard reimbursement for injured workers who have to travel to medical appointments in 2016 dropped to 54 cents per mile from 57.5 cents per mile, the Nevada Division of Industrial Relations announced.
The division said its regulations require injured worker reimbursement rates be the same as what is paid to state employees for official business travel. The state employee reimbursement rate is the same as the maximum mileage expense allowed by the Internal Revenue Service.
The IRS decreased the mileage allowance to 54 cents per mile in December.
