Man Ordered to Pay nearly $30K after Pleading Guilty to Fraud

A Spencerville man was ordered to pay the Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation close to $28,000 after pleading guilty to a felony charge of workers’ compensation fraud, according to a release from the BWC.  Douglas Roop pleaded guilty on June 1 to collecting permanent total disability payments while working. Investigators last year were tipped off that Roop was working.
