Advisory Council to Hear From NCCI on Loss Costs and Risk

The Tennessee Workers' Compensation Advisory Council will meet Aug. 27 to discuss a number of issues facing insurers and employers this year, the council announced Wednesday.
The agenda for the 1:30 p.m. meeting includes:
- A report on the 2018 workers' compensation market conditions, to be presented by Mike Shinnick, manager of the state Department of Commerce and Industry's Workers' Compensation Division.
- A report on workers' compensation insurance plans, to be given by Eddie Herrera of the National Council on Compensation Insurance.
- An overview of voluntary loss costs, assigned risk rates and rating values filing, by Amy Quinn and Dan Cunningham of NCCI.
The meeting will be held at the Cordell Hull Building, House Hearing Room II, in Nashville.
