The Massachusetts Appeals Court ruled that the Contributory Retirement Appeal Board improperly reversed factual findings made by a magistrate as to the cause of a worker’s disability. Case: Hollup v. Worchester Retirement Board, No. 21-P-707, 08/25/2023, published. Facts: Robert Hollup applied for accidental disability retirement benefits based on a psychiatric sequela to a closed-head injury he suffered when he fell off the back of a garbage truck in 2004.
