A former U.S. Postal Service mail carrier in Maryland was ordered to pay $22,000 in restitution and serve five years of probation for working a variety of jobs while claiming an occupational injury left him unable to work, federal prosecutors announced.
Ronald S. Repass, 57, filed a comp claim in December 2014 after he fell and hurt his right shoulder. The federal Office of Workers’ Compensation Programs accepted his claim for a right rotator cuff tear, in part based on a finding that Repass was not able to perform any routine duties of his job.
