Michigan lawmakers have introduced bills that would add breast cancer to the list of diseases covered by the state's firefighter presumption.
Sen. Curtis Hertel, D-East Lansing, and Rep. Winnie Brinks, D-Grand Rapids, introduced bills on Sept. 21 that would establish breast cancer as a disease presumed to arise in the course of employment for a firefighter with five or more years of experience. Both bills have several co-sponsors.
