The founder of Insys Therapeutics Inc. and four former company executives have been convicted by a federal jury in Boston of racketeering conspiracy for bribing doctors to prescribe the potent opioid Subsys.
The jury on Thursday convicted:
John N. Kapoor, 76, of Phoenix, founder and former executive chairman.
Richard M. Simon, 48, of Seal Beach, California, the company’s former national director of sales.
Sunrise Lee, 38, of Bryant City, Michigan, a former regional sales director.
