Assembly Committee Fails to Pass SB 335

A California Assembly committee on Tuesday failed to pass a contentious bill that originally would have shortened the amount of time employers have to accept liability for an injury before a claim is considered compensable. The Assembly Insurance Committee voted 7-0 to approve changes to Senate Bill 335, despite objections from some committee members and the bill’s author, Sen. Dave Cortese, D-San Jose.
