Using a physical therapy app in addition to in-person PT visits helped injured workers return to modified duty 10 weeks sooner after rotator cuff surgery than patients who participated in conventional PT alone, according to a new study.
And injured workers using the app showed a willingness to take charge of their own recovery, even when facing delays in treatment, according to the researchers.
