A Sugar City potato processor is in hot water with the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration, and faces nearly $300,000 in fines after a number of its workers were sickened from being exposed to ammonia.
Dickinson Frozen Foods was not prepared to respond to the effects of a release of 1,300 pounds of anhydrous ammonia last December, which put the company's workers in danger of death or serious injury, according to OSHA, which inspected the company after the incident.
