Legislature Passes Bill Extending Time to File PTSD Claim

First responders would have up to a year from the date of diagnosis to file claims for post-traumatic stress disorder, under a bill heading to the desk of Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis. The Senate on Tuesday replaced SB 1066 with HB 689 before voting 39-0 to pass the measure. The state House of Representatives voted 115-0 to pass HB 689 on March 2. The bill, by Rep.
