IBEW: Verizon, Alltel Should Create Safety Program

The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers has asked the Federal Communications Commission to require Verizon Communications Inc. and Alltel Corp. to adopt a national safety program protecting people from harmful radio frequencies as the two companies near their proposed merger.
