Finance Committee Schedules Hearing on Labor Agency Consolidation Bill

A bill carried over from the 2019 legislative session that would consolidate Alaska’s workers’ compensation and labor law agencies into a single division will get a hearing in the Senate Finance Committee this morning. House Bill 68, which was introduced by the House Rules Committee at the request of Gov. Mike Dunleavy, would merge the Division of Workers’ Compensation with the Division of Labor Standards and Safety.
