The Utah Labor Commission is seeking applications for grants of up to $500,000 to fund workplace safety initiatives.
The program, which the commission announced in a Sept. 10 press release, will provide funding for nonprofit groups, employer associations, labor unions, small businesses, joint employer-labor associations and community and faith-based organizations. According to the statement, the commission will focus on rewarding proposals for initiatives, such as training, workshops and specialized safety programs.
