DWC to Host Designated Doctor Stakeholder Meeting

The Texas Division of Workers’ Compensation will host a stakeholder meeting with system users to present ideas and gather feedback on ways to improve the designated doctor program. Designated doctors in Texas are used when disputes arise between treating physicians and insurance companies. The doctors render opinions to the hearing officer adjudicating the worker’s case.
