A rash of workplace amputations has triggered an ongoing awareness campaign by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, which is taking aim at manufacturers in Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana and Oklahoma.
A new OSHA rule enacted Jan. 1, 2015, requires employers to report within 24 hours any work-related amputation, inpatient hospitalization or loss of an eye.
