The Occupational Safety and Health Administration has fined an Ohio metal stamping company $77,322 for failing to shut down machines properly, protect employees while performing electrical and mechanical work, or inspect forklifts.
OSHA cited NN Metal Stampings Inc. for nine serious and two other-than-serious violations of federal safety standards.
The agency initiated its investigation after receiving a complaint of unsafe working conditions at NN Metal Stampings' Pioneer facility.
The company stamps metal parts for the automotive and appliance industries.
