Bill Would Allow Collection Plans for Employers Delinquent on Premiums

Wyoming employers who fall behind on workers’ compensation premiums owed to the monopolistic state fund could agree to an installment plan that would stop interest from accruing, under a bill introduced in the state House of Representatives. House Bill 84, by Rep. Eric Barlow, R-Campbell, would reduce the interest rate the Workers’ Compensation Division of the Department of Workforce Services can charge for premiums not paid by the due date to 1% from 2%.
