A bill that would prohibit the Washington state Department of Labor and Industries from reducing workers’ compensation benefits paid to people receiving Social Security retirement benefits is heading to the desk of Gov. Jay Inslee.
The speaker of the state House of Representatives signed off on House Bill 1336 on Tuesday. Once the Senate president pro tempore signs the bill, it will be transmitted to Inslee, who will have 20 days to sign or veto the measure, or allow it to become law without his signature.
