California Gov. Gavin Newsom appointed Chloe Osmer as special assistant to the labor commissioner.
Osmer, 43, worked as the organizing director and chief of staff for the Los Angeles County Federation of Labor since 2017, according to the governor’s office. She was senior organizer for the AFL-CIO from 2012 to 2017.
