Travelers Cos. said its analysis of 2.6 million workers’ compensation claims identified increases in average retirement ages, employee turnover and injury recovery times.
Overall, Travelers said its analysis of claims filed over the last decade found that the frequency of workplace injuries has declined. The carrier said it reviewed 1.4 million claims filed from 2015 through 2019, compared with 1.2 million claims filed since then.
One of the trends Travelers identified was ongoing job churn, creating a steady stream of new employees who are most vulnerable to injury.
