Anesthesiologist Agrees to Pay $110,000 for Medicare Fraud

A Paradise Valley anesthesiologist who committed Medicare fraud has agreed to pay $110,000 in damages and penalties, the U.S. Attorney's Office in Arizona said this week.According to the U.S. Attorney's Office, Dr. Ernest Rudolph “Rudy” Anders III submitted false claims for payment to the Medicare program from October 2007 to December 2007 that falsely stated the amount of time he spent treating his patients.  Anders agreed to pay the $110,000 in damages and penalties to settle the matter, the U.S. Attorney's Office said.The investigation was conducted by the U.S. ...
