L&I Cites Department of Corrections for Mask, Social Distancing Violations

The Washington State Department of Labor and Industries announced that it fined the state Department of Corrections $60,000 for failing to enforce COVID-19 social distancing and mask procedures for workers at the Stafford Creek Corrections Center in Aberdeen. The department said the citation is based on an inspection it initiated after a correctional officer died from COVID-19 in June 2021.
