A Los Angeles County probation officer finds herself on the other side of the criminal justice system, accused of altering workers' compensation documents to extend her period of temporary disability and also defraud a carrier that sold her a supplemental disability policy.
The state Insurance Department on Thursday announced the arrest of 46-year-old Cynthia Wesley of Claremont on two felony insurance fraud counts. She is accused of altering a return-to-work slip related to her workers' compensation claim in order to collect $1,036 in disability payments.
