High Court Denies Review of Claim by Worker Hit by Car

The Pennsylvania Supreme Court last week denied review of a worker's challenge to the denial of benefits for his catastrophic injuries from when he was hit by a car while crossing a public street while on his way from his parking spot to his workplace.The case was Acosta v. WCAB (Exide Technologies), No. 802 MAL 2013.Kenneth Acosta worked for Exide Technologies, which has a plant in Reading, Pa. Exide maintains two parking lots – known as Lot A and Lot B – near its facility.
