Doctor Accused of Fraudulent Billing Dies During Airline Flight

Dr. Jay Allen Vogel, an Orange County orthopedic surgeon charged with 44 counts of insurance fraud, died Saturday on a United Airlines flight while returning to Los Angeles International Airport after spending some time with his wife's family in Philadelphia, his attorney said Monday.Raymond Riley said his client was in very poor health and appears to have suffered a heart attack while flying with his wife, Mary, and two teen-aged children.
