The Alaska Workers’ Compensation Division is holding a public meeting on Dec. 19 to discuss reemployment benefits.
The division said the purpose of the meeting is to discuss potential changes to the reemployment benefit rules, starting with a focus on a regulation that allows the administrator to disqualify a rehabilitation specialist from providing services if the specialist fails to demonstrate suitable skills.
Part of the discussion will include an attempt to develop a definition for the phrase “suitable rehabilitation skills,” according to a meeting notice.
