First Medical Urgent Care in Lancaster has become an affiliate of Fairfield Medical Center, a move that will allow the facility to expand its occupational health services.
Fairfield Medical Center’s purchase of the urgent care facility became official on July 7, the Lancaster Eagle Gazette reported.
The acquisition will allow First Medical Urgent Care to hire more staff and expand its hours, the newspaper reported. The facility will retain its name, and the occupational portion of the business will be called First Medical Occupational Health.
First Medical Urgent Care opened as the first urgent care in Lancaster and Fairfield County in 1989. It was purchased by a group of physicians in 2004.
