Jury Convicts Restaurant Owner of Not Carrying Comp

A jury in Contra Costa County found a restaurant owner guilty of failing to carry workers’ compensation insurance and violating a related stop-work order issued by the California Department of Industrial Relations. David M. Bufano was sentenced to two years of probation and fined $10,000 following the Tuesday conviction, the Contra Costa County District Attorney’s Office announced.
