The Maine Employers' Mutual Insurance Company has hired a new chief operating officer from inside the company.
Daniel McGarvey, formerly MEMIC's senior vice president of finance and chief financial officer, will take on the new role, according to a Tuesday press release. He has worked for the company since 2009.
As COO, McGarvey will oversee the company's claims department and be responsible for accounting as well as premium audits and billing.
