A workers' compensation bill whose passage accomplished the Missouri Chamber of Commerce's two legislative priorities for the year will go into effect Aug. 28.
Senate Bill 66, which Gov. Eric Greitens signed in July, forbids injured workers from getting third and fourth opinions on their disability rating and toughens the burden of proof on workers attempting to convince a judge they were fired because of their workers' compensation claim status.
The bill also:
