The Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation announced that a woman who worked for seven employers over a two-year period during which she was receiving disability benefits was ordered to pay $17,144 in restitution.
Frances Davis pleaded guilty on Nov. 1 to one felony count of attempt to commit workers’ compensation fraud, the BWC said. In addition to the restitution order, she was placed on probation for five years.
The bureau said it opened an investigation into Davis after learning she potentially earned wages while also collecting benefits for a work-related injury.
