Starting this week, the Maryland Workers' Compensation Commission is utilizing modern technology to enhance COVID-19 contact tracing for participants at hearings.
The commission said in a bulletin that attorneys should use their smartphone cameras to scan a quick-response code, or QR code, posted on counsel tables in hearing rooms. The scan will produce a contact tracing form on the phone, which should be completed and submitted before the start of a hearing. Participants should remember to tap the “submit” button on the phone's screen.
