Cost of Living Adjustment Set for 2007

The Maryland Workers' Compensation Commission announced the annual cost of living adjustment (COLA) for 2007 will be 3.4% effective Jan. 1. The commission noted that state law provides for the adjustment for employees with a permanent total disability. The COLA provision became effective Jan. 1, 1988, and is payable only for accidental injuries or occupational diseases sustained on or after that date.
