The Oregon Department of Consumer and Business Services reported 12 compensable fatalities in the first quarter of 2012, almost half the number of deaths reported in all of 2011 and five fewer than in 2010.Four workers in the truck transportation industry died in the first three months of 2012, while agriculture, forestry and fishing, food services and government industries each reported two deaths.
