UT's Bramble has Another Plan to Privatize WCF

Utah Sen. Curtis Bramble, R-Provo, won't give up trying to privatize the Workers' Compensation Fund (WCF). After being rebuffed by Governor Mike Leavitt and the legislature, the senator is now drafting a bill he says will resolve the privatization debate. The senator's latest bill still seeks to sever the governor's power to appoint board members, but also provides language that should WCF do anything to jeopardize its tax exempt status the Legislature and Insurance Commissioner can order the Fund to cure those defects.
