Pie Insurance Eyes Expansion With New Funding Round

Pie Insurance, which offers direct, online sales of workers’ comp policies to small businesses, has announced the completion of an $11 million funding round. The round was led by Greycroft and included participation from Aspect Ventures, as well as current investors Sirius Group, Moxley Holdings and Elefund. The funding will be used for geographic expansion. As of June, the company was selling policies in Arizona, Colorado, Georgia, Illinois, Louisiana, North Carolina, Tennessee and Texas.
