The U.S. 3rd Circuit Court of Appeals is set to hear a challenge to the National Football League's settlement of a massive class action over players' concussion injuries.
In April, U.S. District Judge Anita B. Brody approved of a deal which provides players with medical examinations and monetary awards for those diagnosed with brain injuries. The settlement also obligated the NFL to establish education programs related to football safety.
