VIAW Announces New Director, Organizers

Voters Injured at Work has added longtime union activist Willie Howard of San Leandro to its board of directors and made appointments in the Santa Maria and Sacramento areas. Howard had been the Oakland district chairman and is a member of the sheet metal worker's union. He teaches in the union's apprenticeship program. Ramona Ramirez of Santa Maria was chosen to lead the VIAW group in Assembly Districts 33 and 35.
