Rules on Judicial Complaints, Medical Bills and Hearing Venue Adopted

The Louisiana Workers' Compensation Administration has adopted rules establishing a time limit for paying uncontested medical bills, determining the proper venue for hearings and creating a procedure for submitting complaints about judicial conduct. The amendment to Louisiana Administrative Code 40:I.311.H requires insurers or employers to pay uncontested medical bills within 30 days of receiving them, or receiving additional information that was requested.
