Another civil complaint alleging the use of counterfeit hardware in spinal fusions has fallen by the wayside, with a Southern California woman dismissing her 2015 complaint against Pacific Hospital of Long Beach.
Elizabeth Montes in January 2015 filed a lawsuit in Orange County Superior Court against her surgeons and Pacific Hospital claiming her lingering back pain was caused by counterfeit hardware. She dismissed the complaint on March 28.
