Medical fees will increase by 1.2% next year in Maryland, prices based on the Medicare Economic Index (MEI).
The Maryland Workers' Compensation Commission announced this week that it will pass on the inflation adjustment by increasing the conversion factors that are used to calculate rates for specific procedures.
The multiplier figure for medical services and treatment will be $43.73, $57.77 for orthopedic and neurological surgical services and $20.83 for anesthesiology.
