Eight Plead Guilty to Workers' Compensation Fraud, Owe Restitution

The state Bureau of Workers’ Compensation announced that eight individuals pleaded guilty in June to workers’ compensation fraud. They were Brooklynn Mieczkowski of Columbus, Maria Meszaros of Cleveland, Naif Said of Columbus, Russell Whitman of Mentor, Charles Oberdick of St. Clairsville, Shannon Rager of Logan, Maynard Jackson Sr. of Fremont and Kayla Fortman of Hicksville. Whitman pleaded guilty to one felony count of workers’ compensation fraud for falsifying documents.
