The federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s Baton Rouge area office has cited Graphic Packaging International Inc. for 28 safety violations after a worker’s hand was caught in a moving printing press last June, OSHA announced in a release.
The employee suffered a severe injury as a result of the incident at the company’s West Monroe packaging plant. OSHA’s proposed penalties for Graphic Packaging total $129,000.
