OJCC Report: Cases Moving Faster, Fees Drop for Claimant Attorneys

Workers' compensation cases in Florida are moving through the adjudication system faster than ever, according to the Annual Report of the Office of the Judges of Compensation Claims, although the attorneys who represent injured workers in these matters are continuing to see their fees drop.There were 58,041 comp petitions filed in 2012-2013, a 5.4% increase from the last fiscal year, but only 28,912 new cases filed.
