People who have to reach over their heads, train with weights or swim to do their jobs are at increased risk of rotator cuff injury, according to a newly published UK study of 300 people.
Other factors that increase the risk include diabetes and general osteoarthritis, the study found. People who undertake manual work were found to be at higher risk of developing rotator cuff disease compared to those who have a clerical job.
