Lawmaker Proposes Privatization for MEM

Missouri Employers Mutual Insurance Co. would be required to create a private successor mutual insurance company by the start of 2023, under a bill introduced in the General Assembly. House Bill 761, by Rep. Shane Roden, R-Cedar Hill, would order the board of directors for MEM to perform all acts necessary to establish the new private carrier before Jan. 1, 2023.
